GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Minutes of Monday, January 16, 2017
MEETING: The General Membership Meeting convened on Monday, January 16,
2017 at 7:55 P.M. at the YABTC facility in North Jackson.
ATTENDANCE: Perri Graf, President; Stacy Judge, Treasurer; Mary Mignogna, Corresponding Secretary; Lisa Sangregorio, Elaine Shively, Donn Bell, Marla Belzowski, Vicki Casey, Ann Cicero, Kim Dillon, Georgianne Doyle, Judy Drotar, Kathy Durrell, Pat Goodwin, Kathy Hopkins, Susan Kilpatrick, Loretta Nells, Pat Ray, Peggy Sheehan, Kathy Stehnach Baca, Lynn Taylor, Don Wisler and Karen Wisler.

SECRETARY’S REPORT: Following a motion by Stacy Judge and seconded by Pat Ray, the membership voted to approve the minutes of the General Membership meeting of November 21, 2016 as published.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Stacy Judge reported that our total assets as of January 16 are $978,381.03. Our year to date income is $2,094.36.
Following a motion by Pat Goodwin and seconded by Kathy Hopkins, the membership voted to accept the Treasurer’s Report.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Hospitality: Ann Cicero
The cake for the March meeting will be in honor of the Lee Jackson Award recipient. Georgianne Doyle and Karen Wisler will donate cakes for the May meeting.
Program: The Lee Jackson Award will be presented at the March 20 meeting.
Welfare: Kathy Taleos
Debbie Harper’s son had brain surgery on January 12.
Training: Dale Burrier
Kathy Hopkins needs instructors for all of the classes that start in February. She will send out an email reminder.
Obedience and Rally Trials: Mary Mignogna and Lori Baker
The judges for the spring Obedience and Rally Trials to be held on April 7, 8 and 9 are:
Richard DiMarco—Rally A.M. Trial
Karen Schroeder—Rally P.M. Trial and Obedience
Jim Ham—Obedience
Nancy Glabecki—Obedience Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Obedience Run Thrus—Kim Burrier
The order of the run thrus for Tuesday, January 17 is Beginner Novice followed by Novice.
Rally Run Thrus—Mary Mignogna reported that the next run thrus will be on Tuesday, February 7, 2017.
Agility Trial: Sandy Irish, Debbie Harper, Mike Coates
. March 18 and 19--two days at the Well—the trial opens on January 17, 2017
June 23, 24 and 25--three days at the Well—no report

There are still more pictures from the 2015 awards that need to be hung on the wall. Some pictures were missed. Hopefully the rest will be mounted this month.
The new award forms for 2016 need to be submitted by February 28, 2017.

The following people were approved by the Executive Board at the August, October and December, 2016 Board Meetings and are being introduced to the General Membership as prospective members of YABTC:

Following a motion by Marla Belzowski and seconded by Karen Wisler, the membership voted to vote on the above members by a show of hands rather than written ballots. Following a motion by Kathy Durrell and seconded by Susan Kilpatrick, the membership voted to accept the above people as members of YABTC.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
The Denise Thomas Agility Seminar held on January 7 was well-received.
Contact Sharon Phillips if you are interested in attending the Julie Hill Seminar on April 22 and 23.
The Barn Hunt seminar on January 22 is full. Libby Smith is the presenter.
There are 18 dogs in the conformation classes—many are large dogs. There is no more room in the classes. The Conformation Fun Match, that will be held on March 19, was included with the students’ class payment.
NEW BUSINESS:
Perri Graf has set up Amazon Smiles. If club members order items from Amazon through this link, the club will receive a donation of a percentage of the sales.
The General Membership Meeting adjourned at 8:35 P.M. following a motion by Pat Ray and seconded by Lynn Taylor.
The next General Membership Meeting will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the YABTC facility.
