Dear YL Saranac Village Camper and parent,
We are excited that you will be going with Young Life this summer to Saranac Village. Get ready for an awesome adventure as we trek up to the Adirondack Mountains for the greatest week of your life at one of our prime Young Life resort properties. The purpose of this letter is to give you some important information for the trip. Hopefully you’ll find this information helpful to your planning and preparation for a great trip! If you are no longer able to attend camp, please let us know as soon as possible as we are trying to determine our numbers for the buses. Call us at 682-7313 and leave a message.
We will be meeting at 10:00am from Shoppingtown Plaza (near Kaufman’s) the morning of Aug. 3rd and returning on Aug. 9th between 4-5pm. Kids will have their cell phones on the bus ride and will be able to update parents with a more accurate time of arrival. Once we arrive at camp all cell phones, iPods, and any electronics will be collected. They will be returned to campers at the end of camp. As with all Young Life trips, no alcohol and/or drugs will be tolerated. If alcohol or drugs are discovered, the camper may be sent home at the cost of his or her parents.
The cost of the camp week is $635, which includes transportation and all meals at camp. Please note the balance & consent release form must be received no later than July 18th. There will be a $25 late fee for all checks received after July 18th.
**This year, Young Life has moved to an online health form for our New York Camps. Please go to healthform.younglife.org and then create an account. Once you set up an account, for future camps you will only have to log on and update the information.
Remember, if you need help with raising money for the trip, contact one of your YL leaders and they can help you. You will need some cash for lunch on the way to camp, snacks while at camp, and the camp store. Here’s your updated balance information:

Checks should be made out to Young Life. Please send candy money in a separate check and deduct $19.20 from your balance for each box you’re sending in. Kelly & Jason are planning a pre-camp and post-camp party and will be emailing you the details.
