PURIM 2017 MISHLOACH MANOT CAMPAIGN

This year Purim begins on Saturday night March 11, 2017

Why should you participate? The annual Purim Mishloach Manot campaign is our biggest yearly fundraiser. Proceeds from this event are contributed to the Rabbi’s Fund, help finance enhancements to our shul, and sponsor speakers and events.

All those who place their order on line will be eligible for our drawing.

There are 2 ways for you to order:

ONLINE ORDER SYSTEM:

Go to the shul website www.yiwh.org

1.  Click on the link for “Sisterhood Mishloach Manot”.

2.  Type in the password “YISIS2017SM” and follow the online instructions. Please be prepared to complete the online form in one session. The system will not save your entries.

3.  Print the completed form with the system generated order number and mail it along with your payment to:

MANUAL ORDER FORM

1. Review the enclosed order form.

2. Check the box in ink next to each family you would like to include. Please make sure you check the boxes carefully as the forms can be difficult to read.

3. Add up the number of check marks.

4. Complete the totals form on the first page and mail the entire form with your payment to:

Please note that with either method, you MUST get your form and payment to Anita Grossman (not to the post office) by Wednesday February 22nd , or your order will not be processed. All past Sisterhood balances must be paid in full or your order will not be processed.

THE DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF PAYMENT AND ORDERS IS WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 22ND

What is the minimum donation to participate? To participate in the program, a minimum donation of $40.00 is required. This entitles you to select up to 16 families. The price for more than 16 families is $2.50 per basket, with a cap of $360 for 144 baskets or more.

What Will You Receive? You will receive one Mishloach Manot package. In the week before Purim you will receive by email a list of all the families who have chosen to send you a package.

What Is Reciprocity and How Does It Work? We offer you the opportunity to “reciprocate”. If you participated and checked the reciprocity box, we will add your name to the list of anyone who is sending Mishloach Manot to you, whom you have not selected. You will then be automatically billed for each additional family. Please note that if you choose reciprocity, it will increase the amount of your bill. No calls will be made. In order to maintain our community’s high standard of kindness, consideration and “V’ahavta L’reacha K’mocha”, we recommend checking the reciprocity box to avoid hurting others’ feelings. You may not order Reciprocity only!

What Happens If I Select a Family Who Has Not Chosen to Participate in the Mishloach Manot Campaign? That family will receive a letter, in lieu of a Mishloach Manot basket stating that a donation has been made to Sisterhood in their honor, listing the names of all those families who have selected them.

REMINDER: In order to properly fulfill the mitzvah of Mishloach Manot, according to Halacha, you must also send one package (consisting of at least 2 different types of food items) to at least one family.
