*YOU MAY ONLY USE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY COLORS FOR THIS EXERCISE!

1.  Sketch lightly in box. Lightly outline the main shape (start with the main cupcake) of the object first. Follow with details.

2.  Indicate highlight areas. (draw them in simple shapes)

3.  Begin adding your MAIN COLOR (pink) first, varying pressure in areas to create value. Only build pressure where areas are darker!

4.  Look for areas of shadow to increase contrast by layering PURPLE and hints of SHADE (black) on top of the other colors.

5.  Add color to the cupcakes in the background. BACKGROUND CUPCAKES SHOULD BE SOFTER, LESS DEFINED!

6.  *ADD ANY OTHER COLORS YOU SEE, LAYERING AND VARYING PRESSURE! IT’S OKAY TO HAVE AS MANY AS 6!FOREGROUND CUPCAKE SHOULD BE DARKER, MORE DEFINED AND MORE DETAILED.
