*Both of these trainings are a MUST whether you are a brand new consultant or a seasoned consultant -- listen to them several times, take notes and most importantly put into action what these 2 incredible leaders have shared with all of us! This is where to start -- then plan to go through EACH course offered at the university. Starting your own Arbonne business is very similar to going to college ---- there is a lot of stuff to learn! Take it a course at a time. The awesome part of this is that you can earn money while you are learning!!! You do NOT have to do all of Arbonne University before starting your business!

Basic Consultant Training CD’s

This set of 4 CD’s should be part of your initial order. Your sponsor may lend you a set until yours gets in. You will want to listen to each of these CD’s at least 7 times! The first track is by Cecilia Stoll – you should know that you are in her Successline, and she is in the Top 10 income earners of Arbonne!

Product Knowledge Training

You will find training on the products in the Learn & Burn units and in Arbonne University. You will also be learning as you observe your sponsor doing presentations and as you use the products yourself!

Remember – Successful people do what others are unwilling to do!

New Consultant Checklist:

__Place your product and business aids order – your sponsor may do this for you.

__Sign up for your autoship order. Try to make sure it becomes active your 2nd month in the business so it can serve as your minimum order to keep you in “active” status. You have to watch because it can take 14-21 days to become effective, so if you were to sign up for autoship on the 30th of the month, for example, it may not be scheduled to take effect at ALL that next month—so, just make sure you have your $100 (Can$130) order in until you are positive it has taken effect.

__Schedule 2 to 4 launch parties, preferably back to back

__Complete your StartNow workbook and review with your sponsor

__Get your id# & pin# by registering online with your sponsor

__Put a professional message on your answering machine

__Open a separate checking account (doesn’t need to be a business account)

__E-mail your RVP to get on her e-mail (make sure your e-mail account has lots of room to receive big files!)

__Check e-mail twice/day (Read 1-3 EOA stories while you’re on line!)

__Get a separate credit card with Air Miles just for Arbonne

__Keep your calendar updated with events/meetings that are upcoming so you can invite your guests.

__Ask for a session with your sponsor or manager to Goal Set. Set good, great and awesome goals. Example: An awesome goal would be to complete first step for Area Manager in your first month ($10,000 to $12000/Can$13-$15,500 team volume). A great goal would be to complete District Manager in your first month ($6000/Can$7,800). A good goal would be to complete first step District ($2500 - $3000/Can$3,250 - $3,900)

___ Have an Arbonne "Control Book" with categories: Calendar with upcoming events and fliers you get from your upline, Important numbers (sponsor, upline, conference calls, Arbonne, etc.), Prospects, etc.

___ Set up your Arbonne Website. (Register for a website from the Internet consultants page of the arbonne.com website, click on myarbonne.com.

Goal Setting Session with Sponsor

__Set goals for this month and write on white Dry Erase board: volume goal, activity goal. Put this board near your computer where you will see your goals daily!

__Begin mapping “Dream Team” on your board: Who would you really like to have working with you on your team and why? Discuss each individual with your sponsor/manager and how to approach them. Will you have a Dream Team party? Will you be meeting with them for coffee to discuss the opportunity? Will you be giving them an opportunity packet and setting an appt. to meet for a Sponsoring Interview?

__Print out “Goals with no list” and fill it in for the month. Put it by your computer where you will see it daily!

__Print out Goals Daily Focus sheets (or you can use the “Daily Do’s” sheet below) to fill out every night to plan what you will do the next day for your business.

__Print out and complete Manager’s Action plan, setting Awesome, Great and Good goals for when to promote to District Manager, Area Manager, RVP and NVP.

Everyone who chooses to build a business with Arbonne comes with their own unique personality, background, circumstances, mindset and skill level. Regardless of this, there are certain areas we all must commit to master.

Desire: This area is essential, critical, a must, vital, absolute… Am I being clear? So, ask yourself, on a scale of 1-10 how committed are you to building a business? Why do you want to do this? When in the past, when the “going got tough” in your life, did you stick it out no matter what? Is there anything that would cause you to quit? Desire is the only area you must create for yourself. No one can give it to you, and it is the number one variable for success. Someone may have the skill and ability, but without a strong desire that leads to a “no matter what” level of commitment, there is nowhere else to go

Your Belief System: Once you have determined that your desire is a level 10 – the next area to master is your CONVICTION – or your level of belief. Your belief will not only determine what you do in this business, it will determine HOWyou do it. It will not only determine what you say, it will determine HOW you say it.

Your Attitude or Mindset: Your Attitude or Mindset is best determined by how you react or respond when things don’t go your way: When people don’t do what you want them to do, when plans change, when you get a series of cancellations, no shows or just plain NO’s.

Do you ever whine, complain, make excuses and give reasons and justifications when you fail to meet your goals? Are you easily disappointed? How often do you use the phrase: “yes, but…”?

Your level of success will depend on your willingness to take 100% responsibility for the results in your business. This is where your power lies. If your success or failure is dependant on circumstances outside of you rather than yourself – you become lost in a powerless mindset.

We can move past this victim mentality by developing a mindset that recognizes and embraces our ability to succeed regardless of the choices made by others.

Read every day for 30 to 45 Minutes even if you have to break that up into several different segments. You may have to read the same material 7 times before you internalize it.

Helpful Tips For All New Consultants

(It will be very helpful if you’ll go over these with your sponsor or manager!!)

  1. Arbonne does not take checks/cheques—they accept debit or credit cards only.

2. When you fax in a new application with order, give them a couple of hours, check webstats, and if you don’t see it on there, call 1-800-Arbonne to make sure they’ve received the order. Just because it goes through on your machine doesn’t always mean they received it. You may want to try sponsoring on-line instead (there is a flowchart training titled, “Sponsoring On-Line” you’ll want to follow)

3. Arbonne’s hours are also always listed inside our monthly publication, the UpClose or on the Internet Consultant page of the website ( They have different hours of operation for the close date for fax, on-line and phone orders. YOU MUST PAY ATTENTION TO THESE HOURS—THIS IS SO IMPORTANT!!!

4. Equipment you’ll want (if not immediately, certainly eventually): computer, printer/fax/copier, phone with headset, file box & file folders.

5. You MUST have $100/Can$130 retail order ($65/Can$85 cost) in EVERY month that you wish to be paid any overrides or bonuses you may be due, or to be in qualification for any promotion. (That’s why autoship is such a great idea—and, great insurance!) REGISTER FOR AUTOSHIP ASAP!

6. Make e-mail folders and document folders (in Word) to keep things organized and easy to find (Example: upcoming events, REsults system, etc.)
