Dear Peter

INSTALLERS SUPPORT FROM THE FORESTRY COMMISSION

As discussed recently the Forestry Commission does not endorse or recommend any supplier direct, and can not be seen to offer patronage to individual suppliers or companies. However, we do run listings of accredited suppliers that we pass on to enquires from the public. In my role as the Regional Co-ordinator for Woodfuel in Yorkshire and the Humber I undertake publicity and promotion about using wood as fuel, which includes providing interested parties with suppliers, installers and consultants etc, with the appropriate accreditation.

I see the business model of Earleswood Services as the template that we should be pursuing within and outwith the region for installation of biomass heat systems. HETAS biomass accredited and Microgeneration certificated installers are too few within the region, both of which accreditations you are able to offer. Without competent engineers, with an established track record of installations such as yourself, the market place confidence – both in the installation and the continued maintenance and servicing of appliances will remain sluggish in its development.

Organisations, businesses and householders keen to make a switch to wood fuelled heating having grasped the concept of what is involved constantly approach me seeking support to ensure they can match current heating systems to new boilers, to purchase the right appliances or indeed create new heating systems. Any business which can offer a independent, impartial advice, as demonstrated by the Earleswood Services model across the various fuel provisions (logs, chips, pellets) acts as an exemplar to what can be achieved by and is much required in Yorkshire & the Humber.

It is the combination of a proven track record of successful, multi-fuel type, biomass-heating installations, and national recognised accreditation that means I was happy for Earleswood Services to feature as part of the FC’s suite of recent case studies.

I feel that the overall direction and development of your business into one of the regions leading biomass heating installers, maintenance contractors and consultants is consistent with the FC position of developing the woodfuel sector.

Yours Sincerely

By Email
