Doug is going to set up BFP awareness discussion in Oct/Nov. Discussion started regarding quality of backflow prevention surveys.
John is going to approach Canadian Foundry Association for sponsorship of June 1st meeting.

Discussion on Sewer Use Bylaws, Regional bylaw would supercede municipal bylaw.
Bring copies of your municipal sewer use bylaw to nest meeting to compare.

Paul / Richmond Hill - Question regarding 4 shower heads in a bathtub. (over 2 heads requires 2” waste pipe) A standard tub drain is only 1 ½”. Solution, install waste and overflow and increase to 2” trap.
Multi level wet venting, is a double Y required or is 2 stacked TY’s acceptable for 2 fixtures on the same floor? Stacked TY’s are OK.
Ken/ Plumbtech –Dental office BFP requirements? Cuspidors should have an air gap. Water assist vacuum pump (back siphonage only), use spill resistant pressure vacuum breaker (severe hazard) when an RP fails or causes problems.
Pauline / Canplas – Question from previous meeting regarding steep pitch flashing, 2/12 to 20/12 pitch flashing is available from Canplas.
Frank / Georgina - Hot water tank temperature minimum not addressed in OBC, but is in the NPC.
Minimum 60C for electric tanks to prevent growth of Legionella bacteria. NPC 2.6.1.12
Doug / Barrie – Forwarded minutes from Plumbing Officials Association of British Columbia.
Discussion on topics covered in their minutes.
Doug offered tours of new hospital being built in Barrie.
Ralph/ CSA – Attending CSA meetings in next few weeks regarding public review of upcoming standards.
.Garry/ Markham –Passed around brochure on device that makes P/T relief valves for HWT tamper proof. Passed around sample of solar vacuum tube for heating hot water. Great for cooking your hot dogs when you’re on the road!
Also discussion of stack elevation drawing that was distributed at last meeting.
