ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

Dear Parents/Carer,
The school Athletics Carnival for Years 3 to 6 will be held this year at Werrington Athletics Field, Herbert Street, Cambridge Park (beside Penrith Basketball Stadium). We will have full use of all of the facilities of the venue and an all-day canteen.
The carnival is on Thursday 16th June, travel will be by bus. The bus will depart the school promptly at 9:00am and the students will return to school by 2:40pm. Please ensure your child is at school on time. The cost is $12.00 this cover transport and hire and use of all facilities.
Students can wear house colours (see below) in combination with school sports uniform, sensible footwear for running events and depending on weather, jackets, hats, sunscreen, etc. There will be a wide range of events suitable for all students. As this is a normal school day all primary children are expected to attend.
Year 2 Students – If your child turns 8 in 2016 they have an opportunity to participate in the carnival. The Year 2 students attending will need to have had some athletics training and would be expected to participate in all events for their age group.
If you would like your Year 2 child to compete, please come to the office to sign a permission note and pay.
If there are any parents or older siblings who can be of assistance on the day, please let Mrs Linford know as soon as possible (working with children check- required).

A new payment system is being implemented by the Department of Education and all money/on-line payment receipts will need to be received no later than Tuesday 7th June. Unfortunately, any payments received after this date will not, under any circumstances, be accepted. Please complete the permission note below and return with your payment or on-line receipt number by Tuesday 7th June, 2016.
