Morning Meeting
This year we will be holding a morning Meeting on
Mondays and Friday Mornings. This meeting will initially be chaired by our new Junior Leadership Team. Parents are welcome to attend this meeting if they are available.
House Keeping
Carpark – Please remember to reverse park into car spaces in the carpark. Please drive very slowly entering and leaving.
Callistemon students will be dismissed from the classroom as of Monday. They are not to exit the gate until a yard duty teacher is in attendance. Please support us to adher to this rule as it is vital for safety. Wattle Students will still be brought to the carpark. We would prefer Wattle parents to collect their students from the gate as the carpark is now quite busy.
Our new furniture
How great does our new couch look? It creates such an inviting, inspiring and calm work space.
Sustainability
Each Wednesday our school shares a lunch which is prepared at school. The Grade 3/4 students are involved in the preparation fortnightly, on the other weeks Julie prepares it on her own. Now that we have grown substantially we are hoping that parents will volunteer to assist with the food preparation on Wednesdays for about 90minutes. There is a roster in the foyer of the office with dates and times for you to put your name on.
Earn & Learn
We have recently received the classroom equipment that we were able to purchase through the Woolworths Earn & Learn last year. They are already a hit with the students. We received some lovely items. Thankyou to Woolworths for this opportunity and to everyone who supported us by collecting Earn and Learns Stickers. .
Water Bottles
During the hot weather, please ensure that your child has a drink bottle each day. These can be refilled at school.
School Times
9am to 3:15pm
We start learning at 9am so please be here in time to greet others and unpack bags to be ready in for learning once the bell goes.
Coral’s Corner
Welcome everybody to 2016. This year we will further implement our School W.I.S.E. Values ( Wellbeing, Integrity, Self-mastery & Empathy ). To coincide with these values we run the ‘Play Is The Way’ program. You will see these posters displayed throughout the school. The current focus is “Treat others how you would like them to treat you” which the Prep-2’s will explore further in the Concepts lesson on a Friday & Prep-6 during the PITW Games session. You can find more about what my role is as Chaplain on the School Web Site.
