INVITATION
The Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management of Riga Technical University within 53rd International Scientific Conference Dedicated to the 150th Anniversary and The 1st Congress of World Engineers and Riga Polytechnical Institute/RTU Alumni is arranging the annual international scientific conference in Riga on 10-12 October 2012. The conference will take place at the Kipsala International Exhibition Centre.

Academic staff of universities, doctoral students, researchers, as well as entrepreneurs, is welcomed to participate in the conference. The working language of the conference is English.

Conference will be organised in five thematic sections, which corresponds with main research topics of the faculty (discussions at plenary session and parallel sections):

·  National and Regional Economics

·  Production Economics, Finance and Marketing

·  Real Estate Economics and Construction Entrepreneurship

·  Scientific Problems of Technogenic Environment Safety

·  International Business, Logistics, Customs and Taxes.

·  Quality Technologies and Management

The papers of the conference should match the framework of the topic of the conference. All papers will be reviewed and published before the conference in the conference CD “53rd International Riga Technical University Conference “Scientific Conference on Economics and Entrepreneurship (SCEE’2012)” (ISBN 978-9934-10-294-3). After the conference, selected papers will be reviewed by double blind review and published in the Scientific Journal of Riga Technical University (abstracted and indexed in EBSCO, ProQuest, Versita and VINITI data bases, ISSN 1407-7337).

Before the conference, the programme and time-schedule containing further information about the conference will be sent to all participants who have registered in due course.

·  Submission of the abstracts (Digest): July 3, 2012

·  Submission of the papers: September 10, 2012

·  Acceptance of full papers and conference programme: September 17, 2012

·  Registration for the conference: October 10, 2012, 17:00 - 21:00 or October 11, 2012

·  Plenary session: October 11, 2012, 9.30-12.30

·  Workshops and parallel sessions according to the programme: October 11, 2012, 13.30-18.00

·  Workshops and parallel sessions according to the programme: October 12, 2012, 9.30-18.00

For registration, please send the enclosed registration form and abstract (Digest) due July 3, 2012, at the latest, to e-mail and please visit the webpage www.ievf.rtu.lv or http://scientific-conference2012.rtu.lv/ for further information.
The official language of the conference is English, both for the publications and for the presentation. The volume of an article is 6-10 pages. Articles will be not edited; therefore Authors are responsible for preparation of articles according to the guidelines (please see also http://www.rtu.lv/content/view/4046/1745/lang,en ). All conference articles will be reviewed.
