May 8th

Yesterday was the Mohave County Republican Central Committee Lincoln Day Dinner at the Elks, and I am delighted to report that it was a phenomenal event. Our guest speakers were Michele Reagan, Arizona Secretary of State, and Jeff DeWit, who was the Chief Financial Officer of the Donald Trump campaign, and is now the Arizona Treasurer. The attendance was great, we did make a significant profit for the party to fund our operations, and I believe people had a great time. The food was excellent – prepared by Chef Gaul – the venue was lovely, and I think everything moved along beautifully.
Special thanks to a number of people. Most especially, Suellen Stewart, who worked tirelessly to put on the event, and a special thanks to Sam Scarmardo, incredibly generous as always, providing an autographed book by David Horowitz and a shotgun for auction. Also kudos to all who helped in the set-up and the ticket-selling. And so we look forward both to the Mohave County Republican Picnic, which will be August 19th, as well as to next year’s event, which I’ll start working on with Suellen and others very soon.
At our Conservative Republican Club of Kingman meeting, we had Jason Millin of the Chamber of Commerce. As I’ve stated, we plan to join the Chamber and establish much closer relations with the business community in all our three cities. I’m sure it will be a very mutually beneficial relationship, as my goal as Chairman of the MCRCC is to grow our party via recruitment of new Precinct Committeemen and getting young people and professionals involved in the party. Of course they benefit as we promote the Republican platform of free enterprise, individual responsibility, individual freedom and economic growth.
In keeping with this platform, our Monday, May 8thmeeting of the Conservative Republican Club of Kingman will feature Travis Ligenfelter and David Wayt of the Kingman City Council, who will discuss their ideas on economic development. The meeting will be at the Dambar Steakhouse, 1960 E. Andy Devine Avenue at 11:15 AM, as always, and the meeting is open to the public. The cost of the meeting is $3 with lunch optional and on your own. No reservations are required and there is no dress code (but, hey, don’t come naked – lol).
Looking ahead, we’ll have a very interesting speaker for June. It will be a person making their Kingman debut, and I’ll give the particulars as soon as I wrap up the plans for that meeting.
Also, we’ll have tickets soon for the picnic on Saturday, August 19thin the Hualapais. Food will be provided by the Kingman Chophouse – if you like great steak and chops, please patronize them, they are huge supporters of our Republican Party, and I would like a few people to volunteer to provide assistance with ticket selling and other tasks. District 3 of Lake Havasu City has graciously offered to run the drink concession this year, as due to my responsibilities as Chairman, I can no longer perform that task.
I also invite everyone to listen to my radio show on KAAA and KZZZ. We are now on both AM and FM, at 1230 AM and 97.5 FM in Kingman and 1490 AM and 94.1 FM in Bullhead City and Mohave Valley. Show is Monday and Wednesday from 6-9 AM, and it is also streamed live atwww.talkatoz.com. You can call the show and make your opinions heard at 928-753-1230, 928-763-1490 or toll-free at 844-219-1250.
Finally, I want everyone to know how much I appreciate all the help everyone has given at both our CRCK and at the MCRCC. In the next month or two, you are going to see both websites grow tremendously (I’m meeting with the webmasters tomorrow to get everything moving), and these sites are going to be repositories for an incredible amount of information about any and all Republican events in the county, including constantly up-dated event calendars, contact info, bios, links to conservative websites, and more. Stay tuned.
I look forward to seeing everybody at all these events, and remain committed to doing all I can to continuing to make Mohave County the best and most Republican place in the state.
