Control mechanisms: Moving greetings card
The children will make a Viking themed moving greetings card using a CAM to change rotary movement into linear movement. The children will know the importance of following the Design brief and Design specification when making the card.

‘We are bloggers!’
The children will create a blog that will combine different media, such as text, links and images, explaining some of the differences and similarities between their blog posts and those of other writers outside of school.
‘We are cryptographers!’
The children will send and receive messages in semaphore, learn and use morse code, create secret messages, create and crack more complicated codes. / MUSIC

The children will learn how lyrics are composed and how they can then produce their own music for a Viking chant.
