I have worked in many positions in Iraq and now I work as a Site Manager at IandM building Engineering and Development Co.Ltd. I am a fully qualified Civil Engineer in United Kingdom.   • Prepare reports to the director of the company regarding ongoing work.
  • Design elements related to the sites work.
  • Liaise with Architecture, structure, Mechanical, Electrical Engineer, foreman, Subcontractor...etc.
  • Design form work for concrete structure.
  • Writing and updating CDM, health and safety, PPE, Method statement, Risk assessment, Daily report..etc.
  • Conduct a demolition work in one of the most conservative area in London (Mayfair). This work had carried out before excavation to -8.0 m below the ground level started. The facade of all 4 sided building retained.
  • Managing a structural work and explain to the foreman regarding a structural drawing and how to do it practically.
  • Undertaking pre and post sub-contract meetings, and compiling of trade contracts. Dealing with variations and design alterations, and updating monthly budget report.
  • Certifying trade applications on electronic system and issuing payment certificates
  • Calculating and ordering the amount of steel rebar, steel structure, and reinforcement concrete ...etc.
  • Designed a website for the company and trained new office colleagues regarding their new jobs.
  • Worked in a busy office area on my own when the director of the company not in the site.

  • Designed six floors polygon building consisted of structural concrete by using the Euro Code Standard. It involved a theoretical calculation, computer program called QSE and drawing it by using AutoCAD 2009.
  • Worked with my colleague to design three floors structure steel building by using Euro Code standard. This design involved theoretical calculation and computer program for drawing (Auto Cad 2009).
  • Designed a tied arch and a beam bridges by using the British Standard code. This work was completed by one group contain of two students. Only one of the bridges had to be finalist and designed. The beam bridge was chosen to be designed completely, this was due to cost and build ability. This design involved a theoretical calculation and drawing it by using Auto Cad 2009.
  • Completed (semi rigid Connection) dissertation as an MSc project. This project involved theoretical, practical and a computer program called ANSYS.

2005 – 2008BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering - Achieved 2:2

London South Bank University

  • Designed interactive, welded Beam-Column Connections to discover deflection and bending stresses. Approach involved practical, theoretical and computer program of Strand7 to verify the match between them.
  • Final year group project consisted in the design of a hotel for the Structural Concrete 2008 Student Design Competition. It was the second placed project in the whole of the U.K.
  • Designed a building of three floors. The design of the building consisted of structural steel. This was a part of the team project.
