Regular Meeting
September 24, 2015
Council President Hillcalled to order the regular meeting of the Flemington Borough Council. Flemington Borough Council presentSeptember 24, 2015,Mayor Durkin; Wayne Allison; Paul LaRocque; Megan Lucas; Albert Hill; Traci Kuntz andSteve Hoy. Also present were Pat Barnhart, Jean Bryerton, Pam Verne, Dave Grimm, William Brungard, JR Probst and Jo LaRocque,. Absent wasSheila Weaver
MINUTES –LaRocquemotioned to approve the September 10, 2015, meeting minutes; Kuntzseconded. Motion unanimously carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT–Jean Bryerton and Pam Verne attended to request their loved ones burial records be added to the cemetery records. Allison motioned to add the records to the file; Kuntz seconded. Motion unanimously carried. Brungard will assist the family with placement of their marker. Pat Barnhart attended the meeting to request additional lighting near her property at 416 James Street. In addition she requested the Streets Committee review the stop sign placement at the corner of Walnut Drive and Middle Lane.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Burn Ordinance – Allison presented the suggested amendments from Faulkner. Council will review the changes for continued discussion at the next meeting.
PA UCC – Tabled to obtain additional proposals.
NEW BUSINESS
Health Insurance Renewal – LaRocque motioned to approve the renewal adding the dental and vision package; Allison seconded. Motion was carried unanimously. Kuntz suggested we shop our health coverage before next renewal.
Banner Resolution No. 02-15–LaRocque motioned to approve; Allison seconded. Motion unanimously carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Streets –The guys will be crack sealing in the coming weeks. Charity will amend the request to the County Commissioners for the use of County Aid funds for this project.
Public Safety – It has been reported that Firetree is now continuing their proposal for a halfway house on Cree Drive, which is near the borough limits.
“Hi Neighbor” – The committee reports $800 in revenue from the festival.
