Yosemite Institute, Field Instructor Yosemite National Park, CA ~ August, ‘08 – August, 2011

Teach environmental science, geology, ecology, leadership, outdoor skills, and stewardship in Yosemite National Park to students aged 11-18; design curriculum to match schools’ needs; co-lead backpacking trips in the High Sierra; co-designed climate change program and co-presented it periodically to students; edited comprehensive climate change curriculum.

Hulbert Outdoor Center, Co-leader Fairlee, VT ~ July ‘10

Co-led 10-day research trip to James Bay, Northern Quebec focused on sustainable forestry and the Cree Indian way of life; included meetings with Cree forestry workers, site visits, and 5-day traditional canoe trip.
