If the power does not turn on after you have checked the above eight points, it should be assumed that the equipment has failed. Please contact us for repairs.

Q2: The handy terminal cannot be charged. (Troubleshooting on the charger side)

☑ Is the power adapter correctly engaged with the charger?

Is the [POWER] LED lamp on the main body of the charger turned on?

☑ After pulling the power adapter out of the outlet and plugging it in again, does the [POWER] LED lamp turn on?

☑ Is the power terminal of the charger free of contamination, discoloration and deformation?

If the power does not turn on after you have checked the above three points, it should be assumed that the charger has failed. Please contact us for repairs.

Q3: The handy terminal cannot be charged. (Troubleshooting on the handy terminal side)

☑ Is the main body of the handy terminal correctly engaged with the charger?

☑ Are you sure that objects such as the strap are not caught or being pinched by the product?

☑ Is the power terminal of the handy terminal free of contamination, discoloration and deformation?

☑ Are the charge detection magnet and cover installation detection magnet positioned in place on the back of the battery cover?

If the power does not turn on after you have checked the above four points, it should be assumed that the equipment has failed. Please contact us for repairs.

Q4: The battery runs out quickly.

☑ Is the battery pack new?

The battery pack has a certain lifespan. As the battery is used repeatedly over time, its capacity gradually falls. When the unit can only operate for a very short period of time, the service life of the battery pack has expired. Please use a new battery pack.

☑ Is the battery in an appropriate condition?

If the battery pack has become enlarged, it can be assumed it is exhausted (deteriorated).

Please purchase and use a new battery pack.

Q5: The power suddenly turns off.

☑ Is the power terminal of the handy terminal free of contamination, discoloration and deformation?

☑ Is the charging terminal of the battery pack free of contamination and deformation?

☑ Is the battery in an appropriate condition?

Q6: Barcodes cannot be read. Or light emission is not normal.

☑ Is the laser/aiming unit on the handy terminal emitting light?

☑ Can you operate the [SCAN] and [TRIGGER] keys? See Q8.

☑ Is the scanner window of the handy terminal free of flaws and contamination?

☑ For a one-dimensional laser scanner, are you sure that the laser beam does not appear like a point(s) or multiple lines?

☑ For a two-dimensional scanner (except for XIT-221-G), is it possible to check the decode version?

★ Checking the reading operation

Press the [PW] key while holding down the [SCAN] key to start the system menu. Select "Test" from the system menu (by pressing the [ENT] key). Next, select the barcode to display the reading screen. Press the [SCAN] key to read a barcode. When the laser/aiming unit starts emitting light, check the barcode reading operation.

★ Checking the decode version of a two-dimensional scanner

Press the [PW] key while holding down the [SCAN] key to start the system menu. Select "Device" from the system menu (by pressing the [ENT] key). Select the barcode from the device menu, and then select the version to view version information. If any failure has occurred, "---" appears for the version.

If you cannot read a barcode even after checking the above four points, it should be assumed that the equipment has failed. Please contact us for repairs.

Q7: WLAN communication cannot be carried out.

☑ Are the SSID, security, and network settings (IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and FTP server address) configured correctly?

☑ Is the correct response returned when a ping is sent to an FTP server or other network equipment?

★ Pinging from the handy terminal

Press the [PW] key while holding down the [SCAN] key to start the system menu. Select "Test" from the system menu (by pressing the [ENT] key). Select "WLAN" from the test menu. and then select "Condition setup". Enter the host address (of an FTP server, for example) that should respond to the ping. Press the [C] key to return to the previous screen, and select "Wireless/Ping test" to check whether there is a ping response.

・LnKQ displays the quality of communications with the access point.

・ALS displays the intensity of radio waves received from the access point.

If no ping response is returned, it can be assumed that the quality of communication is poor or that radio waves are weak even though the SSID, security and network settings have been configured correctly, it should be assumed that the equipment has failed. Please contact us for repairs.

* To easily check communication quality and radio wave intensity, compare the results to those of other units operating in the same communication environment.

Q8: The keys are not operating correctly.

☑ Do all keys operate correctly when you test the keys on the system menu?
