This EEO Public File Report is filed in WTNS(AM/FM)’s public inspection file pursuant to Section 73.2080 (c) (6) of the Federal Communications Commission’s (“FCC”) rules.

During the one-year period from June 1, 2014 and ending on May 31, 2015, the station filled the following full-time vacancies:

On-Air

We recreated the full-time position of nighttime on-air announcer and rehired the same person who had left on 12/8/13. The rehire happened on 9/7/14.

Sales Position

We had a full-time sales position open when one seller decided to partially retire. We advertised and interviewed and decided to promote our part-time seller to full-time.

The stations participated in the following community outreach initiatives:

(i)Ohio Means Jobs Employment Expo on October 23, 2014 - WTNS(AM/FM) participated in a jobs fair sponsored by Ohio Means Jobs held at Lake Park Pavillion on October 23, 2014. We met with 41 job seekers and received resumes from 30. At the time we had no positions open, but kept contact information should we have openings. Tom Thompson, Sales Manager, was the stations’ representative.

(ii)Millersburg Jobs Fair on May 14, 2015 – WTNS(AM/FM) participated in a Jobs Fair program on May 14, 2015. Staff participants were Matt Croy, Salesperson, Elaine Miller, Salesperson, Michael Hammond, Morning Announcer, and Pete Norman, Salesperson. The event was held at St. Peter Catholic Church in Millersburg and sponsored by Holmes County Job and Family Services. It was manned for the entire event, 1:30 – 6:00pm.

(iii)We prepared a hand-out showing the different positions held at WTNS-(AM/FM) and contact information for the stations. Five people left their names and phone numbers and resumes for future reference.

(iv)Youth Leadership Class on February 18, 2015 - Tom Thompson, Sales Manager, spoke to the Coshocton County Youth Leadership class again on the subject entitled “Community Trusteeship”. This has become somewhat of an annual request.

(v)Internship beginning May 18, 2015 - Muskingum University student, Drew Dunlap, began an internship program at WTNS(AM/FM) necessary for his communications degree. The program was outlined by his advisor, Dr. Lisa Marshall and overseen by Tom Thompson, Sales Manager. Drew has spent time with on-air staff, sports crews, traffic department, sales department, news staff and management. He is on course to complete the internship on 7/24/15 (120 hrs.)

Additionally, Ken Smailes, WTNS News Director, has spoken at many events in his capacity as a local historian. This public contact results in questions about positions available with the Unit and he refers those inquiries to either Tom Thompson, Sales Manager or to Bruce Wallace, President. Below is a list of speaking engagements during the period of June 1, 2014 through May 31, 2015.

5/25/2015 – Conesville Memorial Day – Delivered the annual Memorial Day Address for the village of Conesville

3/5/2015 – Tiverton Community Institute – Mike Bechtol, WTNS morning personality, sp9oke on his travels to National Parks and Ken Smailes portrayed William Trent and what western Coshocton County would have been like in the mid-1700s.

2/26/2015 – Grace United Methodist Church – In celebration of the church’s 175 years, presented a visual power point on the influence of Moravian missionaries on John Wesley. The Moravians had a mission at Coshocton.

1/22/2015 – Coshocton County Archaeology Study Group, Shumaker’s Farm – Spoke to approximately 35 avid collectors and historians about the Delaware/Lenape Indians that once made Coshocton County their nation’s capital.

12/31/2014 – Newcomerstown’s New Year’s Eve Bicentennial Celebration – Presented five sessions to more than 250 people on early history of Newcomerstown area.

10/21/2014 – Warsaw Business Association Meet the Candidates – Moderated annual candidate forum.

10/14/2014 – Leadership Coshocton County – Led a daylong history session on Coshocton County to about 20 class members.

10/11/-12/2014 – Newcomerstown Historical Tour – Presented 3 times at the Main Street Museum about the history of the Lenape/Delaware Indians (about 200 total attendance).

10/9/2014 – Meet the Candidates – Moderated the annual election forum sponsored by Business & Professional Women and the Coshocton County Farm Bureau

10/7/2014 – Coshocton Public Library – In celebration of Col. Henry Bouquet’s 250th anniversary of marching from Fort Pitt to Coshocton and freeing captives from the Indians, spoke on the expedition, Bouquet and why the feat is historically significant.

9/6/2014 – West Lafayette Branch Library – Spoke to about 50 people on Col. Bouquet’s 250th anniversary.

9/11/2014 – Conesville Senior Citizens – Spoke to approximately 40 seniors about Col. Bouquet’s expedition.

7/16/2014 – Kids America Summer Kids Camp – Spent about 2 hours with 30 kids sharing history of Coshocton County

7/7/2014 – America in Bloom – presented an overview of local history to judges of an annual community floral competition

6/28/2014 – Cy Young Parade – moderated the Cy Young parade with Katie Hultz, after air personality
