WRASA Team Treasurer Guide Lines

  • Open a separate account for team business, please do not use a personal account.
  • Use an account name prefixed with “WRASA” and team age/gender/group (such as “U12 Blue”).
  • The WRASA President can provide you with an official Authorization Letter to open a team account with FirstBank (this is the bank that our Club has an existing relationship with for team accounts.)
  • Do not collect on line registration fees-this is the responsibility of the club.
  • If possible have a 2nd person audit the account periodically.
  • As soon as the team is formed (beginning of June) try to meet with the coach to get an idea of what summer activities (Tetra Brazil, British Challenger, 3v3 games, tournaments) will be supported by the team.
  • The uniform vendor, soccer camps or competitive events usually want payment at registration/order time.
  • Board members can help estimating the costs of these events or supplying contacts for them.
  • Determine if there is a need for equipment (pugs, cones, canopy, portable benches, 1st aid kit, game balls, etc.) especially for beginning or new teams.
  • It is best to identify these costs, sum them up, and present them to the parents at the 1st team meeting. This will help minimize the” nickel/dime” effect.
  • Any “Team” specific items as listed above need to be paid for using the team account. Monies for the above items need to be collected by the Treasurer and are not collected through the online payment system used for Club fees.
