Wow What a Year It's Been So Far! We Have Been Through a Lot, with Political Missteps

Dear friends,

Wow what a year it's been so far! We have been through a lot, with political missteps, North Korean threats, and Mother Nature showing her fury in Houston, Florida, Puerto Rico and most recently the California fires. Throughout it all, we have continued to look for ways to generate income, and have enjoyed the growth of the market.

We look forward to the challenges and opportunities in the remainder of the year. However, we continue to expect an increase in market swings, as what we have seen recently has been a lot of complacency, and a steady march upwards, as investors assume corporate tax reform is a fait accompli.

Duncan – Newman Associates begins every New Year with new goals, and a set of expectations for the year ahead. We are determined to try to find new and better ways to protect and grow your assets. Many of you have entrusted us to do so for many years; and for that we are extremely grateful.

In these often-confusing times, we find there are lots of people with concerns or questions about portfolios, markets, and retirement strategies. If you have any friends who may have expressed concerns to you, and to whom you think we may be of service, please do not hesitate to have them get in touch with us. Alternately, if you think they would welcome a call from us, we are happy toreach out. We are interested in growing our company, and feel the best way to do so is to ask for introductions to our favorite clients’ favorite people.

As we look back, we are ever more grateful for the relationships with each and every one of you. We take this time to wish you all a very happy and healthy holiday season and New Year’s!
