Major Events Timeline Assignment
YOUR MISSION: You are to work in pairs for this assignment. Below is a list of events. Your assignment is to:
· research to find out when each event occurred
· create a timeline on which you place the events in proper chronological order
· show the dates alongside the events
· explain each event its importance in a point form 5-line write-up (BE SURE TO USE YOUR OWN WORDS ! ! ! ! ! ! )
· put your timeline on a piece of Bristol board
· OR you may create a PowerPoint Presentation instead (you are to print the powerpoint IN HANDOUTS FORMAT- 6 Slides per page please!)
· be creative – use colour and pictures (label the pictures)
· attach the rubric with your names to the back of the timeline
· list your sources in a properly formatted bibliography on the back of the poster or at the end of the PowerPoint presentation
PROCEDURE: You will have one period in the computer lab for this assignment. Remember that we also have a library at Nepean which has many useful resources!
