Tools required: #15 Torx screw driver, 7mm socket + 3” extension + ratchet, medium blade flat screw driver, small pocket screw driver, needle nose pliers, side cutter,small tie wraps and rubber cement

Pre Installation

1)Carefully read and follow instructions to ensure optimal performance

2)Find a comfortable, well-lighted place to work.

3)Find/create a place to safely store each component you remove.

4)Use a plastic bag or other tray to safely store the fasteners you remove.

5)Take your time.

Remove the shift knob

1)Remove the top plastic cover from the shift knob.

a)Put your thumb nail under the rear edge and lift up.

b)The cover will come up and rock forward to come off.

2)Remove the trigger button from the shift knob.

3)The top of the shift boot contains a plastic collar.

a)Slide the shift boot & collar down from the bottom of the shift knob.

4)Under the shift knob, there is a plastic locking collar.

a)Turn the locking collar from 12 o’clock to 1 o’clock to unlock it (it will stop turning at 1pm).

3)Remove the shift knob by pulling straight up (pull hard straight-up – it is very stiff).

4)Store the shift knob in a safe place.

Remove the Center Console Lid

1)Open the door of the center console.

2)Notice the four T15 Torx screws connecting the hinge to the lid.

a)Use the Torx bit to remove them.

3)Store the Console Lid in a safe place.

Remove the small Trim Plate for the ride control button

1) Use the medium flat blade screwdriver, at the rear bottom edge, and twist to pop-up the cover plate.

2) Notice the two 7mm bolts.

a)Use the socket to remove both bolts.

Remove the E-Brake Boot

1)Set the E-Brake.

2)Pull-up plastic collar at the top edge of the E-Brake Boot.

a)The collar is held in place with two metal tabs at the top edge, and two plastic tabs at the bottom edge.

3)Slide the E-Brake Boot up and off the E-Brake Handle.

4) Notice the two 7mm bolts attaching the Main Trim Plate to the vehicle tunnel/body.

b)Use the socket to remove both bolts.

Remove the Main Surrounding Trim Panel

1)Put the Shifter into Neutral.

2)Lift-up the rear edge of the Main Trim Panel (but do NOT lift it all the way out yet).

3)Disconnect the electrical plugs from underneath the Trim Panel

a)12vdc outlet

b)active handling switch

c)Cigarette lighter

d)Heated seats

e)Hazard Lights Switch

4)Remove the Main Trim Plate.

Corvette C62005(only) – Shift Boot Automatic (continued)

Remove the old shift boot.

1)Notice at the bottom edge of the shift boot, there are small plastic tabs protruding through the shift boot.

a. Use your fingers to work around the bottom edge of the shift boot and pull-up the bottom edge.

2)Notice the gear indicator (PRN321) that protrudes through the shift boot. The shift boothas a plastic gear indicator collar (gear collar) glued into it. This gear collar has two tabs (one at each end) that are cliponto the gear indicator.

a)Carefully unclip and lift the rear tab, and then the front tab.

b)Pry-up the gear collar, upward and off the gear indicator

c)If you accidentally knock-off the lens for the gear indicator, just press it back into place.

3)Pull the shift boot up and remove it.

Install the new SpeedLingerie Shift Boot

1)Turn the old shift boot inside out.

a) Notice how the gear collar is oriented in the old shift boot (straight edge towards the center).

2)Turn the newSpeedLingerieTM Shift Boot inside-out.

a) Notice the cut-out for the gear collar in the new Shift Boot.

3)Cut the tie wrap holding the shift rod collar in the old boot.

4)Re-install and re-tie-wrap the shift rod collar into the new Shift Boot.

5)Remove the gear collar from the old shift boot to re-use it in the new Shift Boot.

6)The cut-out and gear collar must fit snugly over the gear indicator.

a)The front and rear ends of the cut-out each need a pair of ¼” cuts in a “v” shape

b)The bottom end ofeach “v” will be located at each ofend of the cut-out.

c)If the “v” cuts do not yet exist, make them.

7)Test-fit the cut-out into the gear collar to confirm they fit together.

8)Use the rubber cement to glue the gear collar into the new Shift Boot, just as it was attached in the old boot.

9)Turn the new Shift Boot right-side-out.

10)Bring your newSpeedLingerieTMShift Boot over the shift rod(gear collar on the driver side).

a)Slide the gear collar over the gear indicator (the boot material around the cut-out will be wedged between the gear indicator and the plastic collar).

b)Press the gear collar over the gear indicator. Make sure the boot material doesn’t slip upwards.

c)Press down until the plastic collar until it is all the way down and the two tabs are re-clipped.

11)On the driver side, pull the bottom edge of the shift boot over the bottom lip of the shift base.

a)Work your way around to the passenger side.

12)Confirm that the shifter moves freely through the all gears.

Reverse Directions to re-install the Panels, Electrical Connections, and Screws

1)Re-install Main Trim Panel.

2)Re-installE-Brake Boot.

** If you purchased the SpeedLingerieTM E-Brake Handle Boot, it can be installed at this point **

3)Re-install Trim Plate.

4)Re-installCenter Console Lid

5)Re-install Shift Knob

Final Adjustment

1)For full effect of SpeedLingerieTM design, allow 72 hours for material(s) to relax and conform.

2)Park in a warm sunny spot with the SpeedLingerieTM installed to help the process.

3)You may apply a quality vinyl conditioner if you so desire.

Care & Maintenance

1)Clean outer vinyl surfaces of SpeedLingerieTMwith a high quality conditioner during routine car maintenance.
