APPLICATION FOR TABLE SPACE & PERFORMANCE STAGE TIME

World Refugee Day, a United Nations initiative that began in 2001, celebrates the lives and contributions of refugees around the world. Boise’s resettlement agencies are hosting a day of activities to celebrate our local refugee community and raise awareness of international struggle for safety and freedom. Arts and performance activities are used to deliver these positive educational messages and to help counter fear and ignorance. This event will take place on Saturday, June 17th from 9:30am-1:30pm at the Boise Center on the Grove.

Performances: We will have a stage for cultural groups and individuals who arrived as refugees to perform songs, dances, poetry, skits, and more. Performance stage time is limited and priority will be given to refugee artists, vendors, and performers.

Tables: Refugee individuals and organizations as well as partner organizations and businesses can offer information or sell goods and materials. Table space is limited. Organizations/businesses must fit one of the below criteria and tables will be given out in the following order:

1.  A refugee community group or organization.

2.  An agency or organization that works with or supports refugees and/or resettlement efforts.

3.  An organization or business that employs refugees.

4.  An agency, organization or business that celebrates and supports our global community.

**If you plan on selling or giving away food or beverages, you must follow these instructions:

·  If you would like to prepare based goods to sell at the event, you will need to have a commercial kitchen.

·  You will need to complete additional forms for a Temporary Food Establishment License

·  The Idaho Office for Refugees is not responsible for any fees associated with these applications, nor do we assume any liability for the products made, distributed, or sold.

·  Application for this license MUST be submitted to the Central District Health Department by May 17.

Photography and Use - The Idaho Office for Refugees will be taking photographs and video at World Refugee Day. By agreeing to participate in World Refugee Day as a vendor or performer, you grant to the Idaho Office for Refugees, their assignees and transferees, the right to photograph or video you/your group and use these photos or videos for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as brochures, publicity, advertising, and Web content, without remuneration to me.
