ATTENDANCE:

The attendance policy of North Scott High School will be followed. SEE STUDENT HANDBOOK. There is a lot of material that will be covered this semester. If you are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to obtain any missing work BEFORE the next class. This is a personal point of frustration for me. When you are absent, you should check PowerSchool and the class website ( if you have the capability. I will not give any make up work right before class. You must come in before or after school. If you cannot find me in my classroom, I am probably in the library. If you are gone for an excused absence (i.e. field trip), you must obtain, complete, and turn in your work BEFORE you leave.

The following materials must be brought to class EVERYDAY:

ASSIGNMENTS:

Assignments are due at the beginning of class on the due date in the appropriate bin near the front door. You will be expected to work quietly on an assignment when given time during class. If you are not capable of working quietly, I will not give you time in class to work on assignments. I expect you to have your assignments turned in on time. In turn, I will hand back your assignments in a mannerly fashion. Late assignments will be accepted for partial credit as follows: ½ credit for one class period, ¼ credit for two class periods, no credit if turned in after two class periods have passed.

BINDER/NOTEBOOK:

Your binder/notebook will be a lifesaver to you when studying for quizzes and tests. Binders/Notebooks will be collected every test day as well as randomly throughout the semester to ensure that you are keeping up with assignments.

DAILY QUESTIONS:

At the beginning of each class period you will have a question written on the board. Please write theanswer to the daily question in your notebook. Daily questions will be part of your notebook grade. If you are absent, it is your responsibility get the question from a neighbor.
