Special Collection for the People in Ukraine.

Pope Francis announced his intention to hold a special collection in all the Catholic parishes of Europe on

Sunday 24th April, 2016, to provide humanitarian assistance to people in Ukraine. He asks that Catholics participate in this initiative with special generosity.

"Lest We Forget." A concert is to be held at SacredHeartChurch, Glengarriff at 8pm on Sunday 1st May, to raise much needed funds for Alzheimer's Support. Free admission. Retiring collection. Artists, giving their time free of charge include Seho Lee, international concert pianist from South Korea; Than Horng Kent, pianist. Both will be playing individually as well as "4 hands-1 piano". We can also provide/organise low cost counselling Please call Rita Bevan from the centre, in strictest confidence 0833258584. The Counselling is provided by accredited counsellors either at their premises or at the centre, whichever best suits the client.

Grow your own vegetables can start soon, Either Tuesday daytime or evening or Thursday evenings. 3 or 4 weeks of productive learning. Please ring Rita or Norah to express your interest and preference. Starting week of April 25th, if sufficient numbers.

SafeTALK - A Suicide Awareness Workshop, will be held in Bantry on Monday April 25th, from 7.00pm to 10.00pm. SafeTALK prepares you to provide practical help to people who are having thoughts of suicide. Participants must be over 18. Spaces are limited so Booking is Essential. Umbra Clothing Collection in aid of St. Joseph’s Parish, Kitui,Kenyawill take place on Friday 29th April. All types of clothes and shoes can be left inside the main doors of both churches in Eyeries & Ardgroom to be collected before 12 noon.
