The MILLENNIUM; a memorable historical occasion without boundaries. People of all ages, different cultures, and different regions of the world, regardless of who they are and what they do, will be facing the future with a new outlook on life.

Through this Millennium celebration, the World Dance Alliance (WDA) have organized a universal event in which the spotlight is reflected on the evolution of dance, the Past (Heritage), the Present (Creation), and the Future (Vision).

The World Dance 2000 Seoul, hosted by World Dance Alliance Korea in conjunction with the Japan chapter, will be held from July 26th to July 30th, 2000. This event will provide the stage, in which a variety of cultures becomes one, and publicize the upward trend of international dance.

The Present, symbolizing ‘Creation’ is a coordination of events to commemorate the beginning of a New Age with an emphasis on contemporary choreography. Starting with the WDA Meeting, WDA Asia Pacific Dance Education Association Meeting, the Opening World Ballet Star Gala Performance will lead into the Main Performance I, II, III, the Asia Dance Market, the Korean Traditional Dance Performance, and finally the International Festival of Dance Academies.
