Welcome to May 2015 Bulletin. Note that the Banner at the top has been redesigned after a number of members quite rightly pointed out that we are not old and stooped and that the image should reflect the third age of a desire to learn new skills and continue physical exercise with vigour. I hope it meets with your approval. (PG)

This is an appeal to the members of Lichfield U3A for volunteers to stand for election at the Annual General Meeting in July. There are two vacancies on the committee. If you feel you could volunteer to join the committee and would like to discuss what is involved please get in touch with me. It is important that members do come forward and help to manage their U3A. DON’T BE SHY.

Lichfield Festival of Music
Lichfield Festival of Music is held over two Saturdays every November and is now in its 38th Year. Its purpose is to provide opportunities for musicians of all kinds to receive a professional adjudication of their performances as well as to perform in front of an audience. The Festival attracts entrants from all over the Midlands and beyond.
The organizers are seeking to recruit more stewards, once again, from U3A, to carry out the essential support to ensure everything runs smoothly.
If you are interested in becoming a steward please telephone Margaret Frean (01543 411050). This year’s Festival will be held on Sat. 14th and Sat. 21st November. Stewards will receive a free ticket for the concert given by the winners of their classes on the evening of the final Saturday.
