WORKSHOP ON EPA MDL REVISION AND THE ALTERNATIVES

In response to the EPA publication of a proposed revision to the MDL (Method Detection Limit) procedure, ASTM International is sponsoring a workshop to be held on June 25, 2003, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. This workshop is sponsored by ASTM Committee D19 on Analysis of Water and is being held in conjunction with D19’s semi-annual Standards development meeting.

The workshop will have the direct goal of providing feedback to EPA on their recent proposals regarding the MDL, as well as providing a forum for presentations of alternatives and discussion of the issue of detection. ASTM Committee D19 has had a long history of developing Standards related to detection and quantification.

The following presentations and speakers have been scheduled. There will be a Q&A and discussion session following the presentations.
