It is not enough to create an ideal product, companies must be strategic in promoting it to individuals who they believe are likely to buy it. To do so, companies usually draw from four promotional tools: advertising, public relations, sales promotions and personal sales. Each has a distinct purpose and function and can add to a product’s success. Also, when integrated and used collectively, they can result in maximum saturation and impact.

In addition to using mainstream media to promote Solar Harvest Phone Chargers, Solar Technologies has developed special corporate deals for companies employing over 100 people. To advertise their product at participating companies, you have been asked to develop both paper and electronic fliers. The paper fliers will be placed in breakrooms and in the HR area. The electronic fliers will be placed on company websites. (For the purpose of this assignment, you will only develop one electronic document of which prints will be made for paper copies.) You may use the blank page in the Assignment Worksheet section (or if you prefer, PowerPoint) to develop the flier. The flier will be graded based on whether or not all of the components outlined are included and if the flier is effective and eye catching. So be sure to use color and graphics but use them sparingly. In addition, do not overload the flier with too much literature.

  • Complete the following:
  • Develop a promotional flier that will be used by companies employing 100 or more individuals. The flier must include the following components:
  • Define the product, but do not use too much text. Also, bullet text when possible.
  • Explain at least three benefits of the product.
  • State the product’s list price of $69.99 and its reduced corporate rate (which can be up to 30 percent lower than the list price or as low as $48.99).
  • Explain how to purchase and obtain the product at the corporate rate.
  • Use color and graphics but sparingly. (Perhaps format your flier using your favorite print ad as a guide.)
  • Include contact information for questions.
  • Write a 100-word paragraph explaining why you believe your flier to be effective. You will include this paragraph in the Assignment Worksheet section on page 2.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling throughout the assignment. Cite resources as appropriate.
  • Submit the Week 5Assignment via Blackboard by clicking on the “Week 5Assignment” link.
  • Include the proper file naming convention:
