CCSU Application for Student Teaching

Do not include this form in your application. Do use this as a guide to develop your two essays for student teaching. Use a title for each of your essays. It is essential that your writing be professional, accurate, and articulate. No application will be sent to a district with errors in grammar, punctuation, or spelling. Do know that often whether or not you will be accepted as a student teacher by a district depends largely on how you present yourself in these essays.

  1. Compose a brief autobiography that highlights experiences and dispositions that will be meaningful in your role as a teacher. Emphasize the experiences that you feel will be an asset to you as a teacher, such as experiences working with children, college activities, work experiences, leadership activities, special interests or talents, travel, etc. Attach this autobiography to your application
  1. State briefly some things that you would like to accomplish during the student teaching period. Discuss your own professional goals and your goals for the learners in your classroom. Attach this as a separate essay to your application.
