FRESHMAN AND SOPHOMORES

·  Work hard to get the best grades possible

·  Take classes that match our school’s list of approved core courses. You can find this list on page 4 of this booklet or www.eligibilitycenter.org (click on “for High Schools and enter the JHS school code-371905)

·  Enroll in the Core Course GPA Calculator. This web-based interactive tool is available to all Jenks High School Students. This allows you to track your core GPA, core courses and test scores to ensure that you are meeting NCAA requirements. Go to www.CoreCourseGPA.com and set up a new member account using: School ID: 371905 and School Code: 713688208

JUNIORS

·  At the beginning of your junior year, register at www.eligibilitycenter.org

·  Make sure the courses you have taken match our school’s list of approved core courses.

·  Register to take the ACT, SAT or both and use the Eligibility Center code (9999) as a score recipient. The Eligibility Center will use the best scores from each section of all ACT or SAT tests to determine your best cumulative score.

·  Continue entering semester grades and new test scores into your Core Course GPA Calculator account to ensure that your core GPA, core courses and tests meet NCAA requirements.

·  Send a transcript to the NCAA Eligibility Center after completing junior year. Log into your Eligibility account, go to “My Planner”, then “My Task List”, click on “Official Transcript Needed “and follow the directions to request your transcript to be sent electronically to NCAA. If you have attended more than one high school, the Eligibility Center will need official transcripts from all high schools attended.

·  Before registration for classes for your senior year, check with the Core Course GPA Calculator and/or your guidance counselor to determine the amount of core courses that you need to complete your senior year

Seniors

·  Students interested in playing NAIA sports must register with NAIA Eligibility Center at www.playnaia.org

·  Take the SAT and/or ACT again, if necessary. The Eligibility Center will use the best scores from each section of all ACT or SAT tests to determine your best cumulative score.

·  Continue to take college-prep courses and to work hard to get the best grades possible

·  Check to be sure that your courses match our school’s list of approved core course

·  Continue entering semester grades and new test scores into your Core Course GPA Calculator account to ensure that your core GPA, core courses and tests meet NCAA requirements.

·  Graduate on time (in 8 academic semesters). If you fall behind, use summer school sessions before graduation to catch up

·  After graduation, request your final transcript be sent to NCAA. Log into your Eligibility account, go to My Planner”, then “My Task List”, click on “Official Transcript Needed”, follow the directions to request your transcript to be sent electronically to NCAA
