Point Counted Production Test for Word Chapter 3

Problem 3A

1.  Open the file w03A_test_data.

2.  Click to the left of the first line of the document. Find a Clip Art image of a roller coaster and insert it at this point in the document

3.  Format the Clip Art to apply a Tight Wrapping style to the graphic

4.  Resize the graphic of the roller coaster so that it is 3” by 3”

5.  Move the graphic so that the left edge lies along the left margin, and the top edge lies along the top margin.

6.  Click to the left of the last line of the document. Insert the file w03A_Ferris_Wheel into the document

7.  Format the picture to apply a Tight Wrapping style to the graphic

8.  Resize the graphic of the ferris wheel so that it is 2.75” high by 1.75” wide

9.  Move the graphic so that the right edge lies along the right margin, and the top edge aligns with the first line of last paragraph of text.

10.  Insert a Text Box to the left of the Ferris Wheel picture. The box should be approximately .75” wide and 1.5” high.

11.  Add the following text to the text box:

Children under 3 enter the park for FREE!

For safety, some rides (like this one!) require children to be 48” tall to ride.

12.  Format the first line to be Bold, 16 pt, remaining lines 12 pt. and all lines to be Comic Sans MS

13.  Move the text box until it is lined up with bottom of and .25” to the left of the ferris wheel graphic.

14.  Resize text box using bottom left corner handle until 1st paragraph displays on single line..

15.  Using the drawing toolbar, draw an arrow from the closing parentheses in the text box to the midpoint of the left border of the ferris wheel picture. Change the line weight of the arrow to 2 pt. and the End Size arrow to Arrow R Size 8.

16.  Add a Horizontal Scroll banner to the bottom of the document, above the text box

17.  Add the following text to banner:

Special Rules for Children

18.  Format text to Comic Sans MS, 24 pt

19.  Resize graphic to accommodate all the text on one line..

20.  Drag the banner to center it visually over the text box.
