Woodside Giving Tree

Numerous years ago, we began the tradition of having a “Giving Tree” at Woodside in an effort to provide assistance during the holidays to needy families in our community. This year we would like to support families with gifts for the children and food. Giving Tree Stars with needed items will be available starting on November 28th in the office. Please stop by and pick up a star. Any questions please e-mail

Recreation Aide needed

This as a paid position through SJUSD. We need Recreation Aides to supervise students during lunch period. Hours are 11:30-12:55. This is a great opportunity to get to know our students, and be a part of the Woodside Team. Please inquire at front office, or contact Terrie

Intel Grants

We are seeking families and friends that work at Intel to help us get started with the “Intel Involved Matching Grant Program”. If you work at Intel, or know someone that works at Intel please contact so we can get started. Thank you

Many schools offer visitation nights to educate parents on their choices throughout the district. These events are held every year, prior to the close of the open enrollment lottery.

Go to www.sanjuan.edu/openenrollment for more information.

Art Docent- We are in need of a 4th grade Art Docent. Please inquire at front office.

Lost and Found

Our lost and found is OVER FLOWING. Please take a few minutes before or after school to go through it. There are many, many jackets, sweaters, and lunch boxes. If your child went to school with one, but didn’t come home with one, chances are it’s here. All Lost and Found will be donated to the San Juan Clothes Closet during Winter break.

Parking Lot Safety

Safety is our number one priority here at Woodside. If you utilize the parking lots on either side of campus, please drive slowly and park in an approved parking stall. We cannot have cars stopped in the drive lanes to drop students off. This is not safe. We ask that you park, in a designated parking spot, get out of the car with your student, and escort them to the sidewalk. Please follow the dropping/picking up rules to avoid the parking lots being coned off. Lastly, when exiting the west parking lot, please observe the “right turn only” sign. It’s safer to turn right and keeps the traffic flowing. Thank you for helping us safeguard our children.

Campus Security

As a reminder, please ensure you sign in at the Main Office every time you visit our campus- this includes times when dropping off lunches. This is important for two reasons. First, we need to keep our campus free from potential outside intruders. When you sign in and receive a visitor badge, our staff members will know that you have permission to be on campus. Please be sure to write the date and location you’re visiting on the badge. Secondly, in case of an emergency that requires a campus lock-down, we need to know you are on campus and accounted for in the unlikely event emergency personnel are dispatched to our site. Please follow these procedures, especially not loitering on campus or hanging out near the quad gate. Thank you, again, for helping keep our campus safe! Additionally, if you visit your child during recess time please refrain from joining their group games.
