About FareShare

At FareShare, we fight food poverty by tackling food waste. We source food that is surplus to requirement – from retailers and manufacturers – and engage many volunteers to help us redistribute this to local charities and community groups. They then use this to provide meals to vulnerable people;individuals who are homeless, unemployed, socially isolated or recovering from addiction.

FareShare operates 20 Regional Centres (depots) across the UK and supports over 1,700 local charities and community groups. Over the past year over 5,500 tonnes of food were redistributed by FareShare Regional Centres nation-wide, feeding 82,000 people daily.

Main purpose of this role

FareShare has recently been selected asthe 2015 charity of the year for Credit Suisse. This will provide us with a unique opportunity to work with a highly professional and committed city firm. They are highly ambitious with their fundraising and during 2014 have raisedsignificantly more than the original £300k target for their chosen charity. FareShare has employed a Corporate Account Manager who will work with the Citizenship team at Credit Suisse on a full-time basis to maximise this opportunity.

Critical to our fundraising success is the assistance that the Co-ordinator will provide to the Corporate Account Manager. This will also require working closely with other teams across FareShare including Fundraising, MarComms and Finance. The post will be overseen by the Corporate Development Manager, but tasks will be agreed on a daily and weekly basis by the Corporate Account Manager.

This opportunity comes at a critical time in FareShare’s growth and provides us with the chance to push ahead with our strategy to significantly increase our outputs both in London and across the UK.
