Criteria for Vendor Inclusion in Woodquay Market
1. HSE and Galway City or County Council approved - compliance with legislation
2. Subscribe to Galway Food Festival values and ambitions
Festival Objectives
- Celebrate the quality and variety of Galway’s culinary landscape
- Establish Galway as the Food Capital of the Wild Atlantic Way
- Attract visitors to a family friendly festival and extend the tourist season
- Drive footfall to participating outlets and participants
- Build partnerships between food producers, outlets, educators and consumers
- Promote healthy eating to all ages
3. Offer products of high quality
4. Support local produce and local / artisan producers
5. Be primarily but not exclusively from Galway, adjoining counties or locations along the Wild Atlantic Way
6. Display clear pricing of producing labelling of the place of origin
7. Organic produce must be verifiable at the point of sale
8. Complete relevant form and if successful, submit relevant subscription in advance
9. The final decision will rest with the festival committee and will be based on your product as a whole as it aligns itself with the festival ethos
