UNDERSTANDING GOALS (CONCEPTS):
Students will understand: demonstrate understanding of proper processes and techniques to complete 1.a tessellation stencil that can accurately be duplicated in a correct pattern demonstrationg opposites, 2. clay tiles decorated with tessellation low relief patterns/design. / ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS: Higher thinking process.

STUDENT OBJECTIVES (COMPETENCIES/OUTCOMES):

Students will be able to:
Create a tessellation stencil based on a 2”X2” square. Trace stencil on drawing paper and create two designs alternating demonstrating opposites. Create two 6”X6” clay slabs and begin carving low relief designs based on stencil design.
