SUFFOLK JUNIOR OPEN 2015

This event is now in its 15th year, and a strong Open section runs alongside the junior sections.

Woodbridge School is well established as the premier school for junior chess in East Anglia, and is an accredited ECF (English Chess Federation) centre of excellence. International Master Adam Hunt is currently employed full-time to teach chess at the School. The school has produced three England internationals and currently has one of the top 100 Under 18 players in the world studying at the school.

SUFFOLK CHAMPIONSHIPS

Prizes will be awarded to the highest scoring Suffolk player in every age group through from Under 8 to Under 18.

ELIGIBILITY

Entrants must play in their own age group unless given permission from the organiser. This is based on their age at 31 August 2014. So a 9 year old on this date would play in the Under 10 section. Stronger adults and juniors are encouraged to play in the Open section.

RATE OF PLAY

30 minutes per player per game. Clocks will be used on all boards. The games will be ECF rapidplay graded.
