Women’s Math and Science Scholarships - 2018

Name

This award shall be known as the Zonta Club of Hilo Math and Science Scholarship Award.

Designation of Scholarship

·  University of Hawaii at Hilo (UHH) Baccalaureate Degree Programs

·  University of Hawaii at Hilo (UHH) Master or Professional Degree Programs

Qualification of Applicant

·  Current enrollment as a full-time student at UHH with an above-average record in scholastic standing (3.0 or better GPA).

·  Majoring in: mathematics, physics, engineering, technology, computer science, pharmacy, and astronomy.

·  Show a financial need.

·  Indicate career plans such as graduate school or leadership roles (BSN degree).

Part C Two letters of recommendation

Part D Personal Letter

·  Reason for need of scholarship

·  Academic interest and vocational plans, including any plans for graduate work

·  Other activities, extracurricular interests and hobbies.

Selection

The Scholarship Committee of the Zonta Club of Hilo will make final selection. Recipients will be notified in May 2018.

Awarding of Scholarship

The recipient shall be awarded a $1000.00 scholarship.
