Eclipse: In a Different Light
Live webcastand event featuring a total solar eclipse
At [YOUR VENUE]

Public Event: March 29, TIME

Produced by the Exploratorium (San Francisco) and NASA Sun-Earth Connection Education Forum

Always a compelling experience for all citizens of Earth, the year's first total solar eclipse occurs on Wednesday, March 29, when the Moon will pass between the Earth and the Sun and, for a time, turn day into night. Not visible at all from the United States, the path of totality begins in Brazil and extends across the Atlantic, northern Africa, and central Asia, where it ends in western Mongolia. (A partial eclipse will be visible from northern Africa, Europe, and central Asia.) This total solar eclipse will be brought live from Turkey to [YOUR VENUE] and to the rest of the world by San Francisco's Exploratorium, via satellite and high-speed Internet connection. This event is made possible by the Exploratorium with support from the Sun-Earth Connection Education Forum at NASA.

See the broadcast in person at the [YOUR VENUE]. Have the full experience of this fascinating celestial event at an early morning museum public gathering that begins at TIME, leading up to the TIME eclipse. If you can't get up that early, join the rest of the planet via satellite and high-speed Internet connection at http://www.exploratorium.edu/eclipse. [CHECK URL]

A team of scientists and educators will be on the ground in Turkey, capturing video images of the eclipse using specially equipped telescopes. Besides being streamed live to the [YOUR VENUE] and to the rest of the world, these images will be broadcast to participating museums and schools around the globe who are holding eclipse events that highlight the live broadcast from Turkey.
