Wireless Guest Access Request

Quick Start Instructions

This document provides detailed instructions for how to request wireless access for campus guest who do not already have ULink user ID’s and passwords. This request must be filed out by a University Faculty or Staff on behalf of the guest.

  1. Browse to the following URL:

Enter your Ulink userid and password and click the “Log In” button. Move to step 2.

  1. The Wireless Guest Access page appears showing yourpreviousrequests.

Click on the “Request Access” button to request newaccess. Continue to step 3.

  1. The next page appears that will allow you to enter the information about your Guest.

Your information appears in the Sponsor’s fields. Continue to step 4.

Note:The System will not allow duplicate user names. If the userid is already in the system you may see the error message.

Note: You must have at least 5 characters in the Guest’s Userid as well as the Password.

Note: To forward a copy of this information to yourself or your Guest, please include that information in the area indicated below prior to submitting your request.

Enter the informationabout the Guest (all fields are required) then click on the “Submit Request” button.

  1. Once the required information is entered, please click the “Confirm” button. Continue to step 5.
  1. The Wireless Request screen will displaythe new request. While the system is updating, you may see the status listed as “UNKNOWN “. However if you refresh the screen the status will change to “Active”. You can refresh the screen by pressing the F5 key on your keyboard. Continue to step 6.

Note: For your convenience we have added a new feature that will allow you to print the information about your guest request, this print out will include the guest’s Userid and Password. This may assist you by allowing you to give this print out to your guest for future reference.

  1. Once the system has updated you should see the status change to “Active”. Your guest should now be able to connect to the campus wireless network using the Userid and Password you have included in this form.
