CLASSES
Puppy Obedience Class: Puppies from 3 to 6 months of age may enroll in the puppy class, provided that their vaccinations are complete. Handlers teach puppies how to walk on leash, sit, down-stay, etc. Socialization with people and other pets is emphasized. Additional information such as housebreaking, grooming, and nutrition is given in a lecture/demonstration situation. This class meets for 6 weeks (no dogs the first night). Fee $80: meets Tuesdays, 6:00-6:45 pm: Instructor – Doreen Messner.
Beginning Obedience Class: This class is for dogs 6 months of age or older. Handlers are taught basic obedience commands: heel, sit-stay, down-stay, stand, and come. Additional problem-solving information is presented. This class meets for 6 weeks (no dogs the first night). Fee: $80: meets Tuesdays, 7:15-8:00 pm: Instructor – Jim Solak.
Performance Preparation Class: This is a work session class for MPMKC members and their dogs who are preparing for performance events and would like to practice in a venue where there are other handlers and dogs. Fee: $10/night for non-keyclub members: meets Thursdays, 6:00-7:15 pm: Instructor – Sherrie Start.
ALL CLASSES ARE HELD AT THE MT. PLEASANT MICHIGAN KENNEL CLUB BUILDING. PLEASE SEE DIRECTIONS. MOST CLASS SIZES ARE LIMITED. FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MAILED WITH REGISTRATION. Confirmation of classes will not be mailed. If the class has filled by the time you register, you will be called. If you do not hear from us, assume that you are registered for the class. Proof of vaccinations (Rabies, DHL/PPv) will be required the first night of class. In addition, Bordatella is highly recommended.
MAIL FORM AND SEND IT WITH YOUR CHECK OR MONEY ORDER PAYABLE TO MPMKC (CASH IS NOT ACCEPTED) TO THE TEACHER OF THE CLASS FOR WHICH YOU ARE ENROLLING. CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS MUST BE MADE OUT TO MPMKC, NOT THE TEACHER OF THE CLASS.
