What is our ultimate WIN?

The Mission of XA:

Q: How do you know when your life group is fulfilling its purpose? Here are 6 “wins” - signs that your LG is on it’s way to becoming a healthy, disciple-making community.

(*Note to leader - Make sure that the “how” to do this is always connected back to the idea of living our lives as a part of GOD’S story & plan, not inviting him to be a part of ours.)

  1. Discipled Members
  2. When our LG members are being discipled into a lifelong disciple-makers
  3. Steps:
  4. LG leader has a 1:1 or 2:1 with as many members as possible.
  5. LG leader deals individually with crucial growth steps for each person
  6. LG starts handing over responsibilities to others so ppl develop leadership skills by having responsibility at WNF, life group, planning fun things...
  7. Eager Members
  8. When people want to be there and are excited to be at LG of their own volition
  9. Steps:
  10. Community building outside the life group
  11. Having exploratory conversations with people who don’t seem eager
  12. Build ownership by giving your jobs away
  13. Creative, engaging content for your LG meetings
  14. Connected Members
  15. When our LG members are connected to one another
  16. Steps:
  17. Members attend WNF
  18. Members hang out together outside lifegroup
  19. Members have coffee or lunch dates with one another
  20. Christ-Focused Meetings
  21. When our LG members are connecting to Jesus during LG
  22. Steps:
  23. Bible Study
  24. Prayer
  25. Worship
  26. Sharing Lives (Real & Honest/vulnerable relationships)
  27. Outward Focus/Mission
  28. Consistent Members
  29. A consistent group of people come every week - consistent attendance
  30. Steps:
  31. LG leaders cast vision for making it a priority
  32. LG leaders facilitate community-building outside the group so people want to be together
  33. Be creative - people will come knowing that it won’t just be a “dry” Bible study every single time; something to look forward to.
  34. Outward-Focused Members
  35. We are a community of people who “fight for people”
  36. LG members are more concerned with the spiritual well-being of their fellow LG members and those who don’t know God yet.
  37. Steps:
  38. LG leaders cast vision individually about coming to LG to contribute
  39. LG gives opportunities for members to care for one another (ex: affirmations, coffee dates, etc)
  40. Training members in listening to God & spiritual gifts
  41. When members take ownership & lead
  42. When LG members have significant relationships with nonbelievers
  43. When LG prays for nonbeliever friends
  44. When a nonbeliever comes to a LG
