Things to Know when Using the Catalog
· You can search for author, title, subject
· Narrow by format by clicking on icons that appear at the top of results
· If you have an electronic device and would like to search the catalog, use your device’s web browser to bring up the catalog. When you check out the title and start the download process, the title should download into the OverDrive app.
· Can download the ebook or audiobook to your desktop computer
o Must have Adobe Digital Editions on computer for ePUB ebook
o Must have OverDrive Media Console on computer for audiobook
o Must have Kindle app on computer for Kindle ebook
· OverDrive items will appear on your library card account. These titles will appear below the titles you have borrowed from the library.
· When placing holds on titles, they will appear on your library account.
Basic Instructions
· Tap/click Checkout button
· Login with library card number and pin (last 4 digits of phone number)
· You’ll get a message: “Your title was checked out successfully. You may now download the title from your Account.” This means your library account.
· Tap/click “Your Account” which appears in the top right corner of screen.
· Select the format you desire
· Tap/click “Download”
· You’ll get a “Are you sure…” message, tap/click ok
· Tap/click open in:
o OverDrive (if using electronic device) or
o browse for Adobe Digital Editions on computer or
o if Kindle format is chosen, you will be taken to the Amazon site.
§ Tap/click “Get Library Book” ( may have to log into Amazon Account)
§ Deliver to: choose your device or computer
§ Will download into Amazon app
