WINDOW WASHING ANCHORS

This master specification section has been prepared by Super Anchor Safety for use in the preparation of a project specification section covering permanently-attached window washing anchors. Lifelines, harnesses, and other equipment that is typically purchased by a building owner after completion of construction are not included but can be added if desired.

Window washing anchors must be selected based on location, supporting construction type, and anticipated use and loading. Refer to Super Anchor Safety product information or contact Super Anchor Safety to determine specific anchors needed based on project requirements.

PART 3EXECUTION

3.1INSTALLATION

  1. Install window washing anchors in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and approved Shop Drawings.
  1. Separate dissimilar metals with bituminous coating or gaskets to prevent electrolysis.
  1. Place anchors level, aligned, evenly spaced, and tightly fitted.
  1. Coordinate installation of anchors and flashings with adjacent materials installation to produce watertight installation.
