Window-integrated ventilation with heat recovery

Schüco VentoTherm

Bielefeld. Schüco VentoTherm is a window-integrated ventilation and extraction system with air filter, heat recovery and sensor control which allows continuous air exchange when the window is closed. Draughts, energy loss caused by incorrect ventilation and disturbance from noise are therefore a thing of the past. The system is perfectly tailored to Schüco PVC-U and aluminium windows, and is suitable for newbuilds and renovation projects. In addition to the solution for horizontal installation, the product range also includes a version for vertical installation, which lends itself to narrow windows and shaped window constructions. New to the Schüco VentoTherm range are two ready-to-install ventilation units, which are marketed by our cooperation partner DuoTherm.

Schüco VentoTherm is installed in the upper window area. In this perfect position, the system extracts the used air and carries it to the heat recovery device. At the same time, fresh air is drawn in from outside and filtered by a pocket filter of class F7 (in accordance with DIN EN 779). This filter prevents pollen, insects and particulates from penetrating the building. The fresh air is then also carried to the heat recovery device. Here it is warmed by the used outgoing air without any contact, and released into the room. The outgoing air cooled by this process is fed outside.

Schüco VentoTherm could not be easier to use. Ventilation can be switched on or off using the switch integrated in the outer frame and regulated at two different speeds. An automatic function provides additional comfort. A VOC sensor and a humidity sensor monitor the air quality and regulate the exchange between used air and fresh air.

Schüco VentoTherm is an efficient system solution for decentralised ventilation when the window is closed. The outer appearance of the façade remains unchanged. On the inside, the system blends in seamlessly with the interior design. All the functions of the closed window, such as burglar resistance and noise reduction, are retained. With a heat distribution level of up to 45%, high energy savings are possible. This increases the energy efficiency of the property and ensures a pleasant indoor climate as well as the best possible air quality, whilst adhering to all the current standards and regulations. Using a bus control unit, the system can be integrated into the central building management system.

New: Thermo LE and ThermoNB with Schüco VentoTherm

As a Schüco cooperation partner, DuoTherm Rolladen GmbH offers two other ventilation units: the Thermo LE ventilation unit with Schüco VentoTherm is characterised by its straightforward and quick installation, and it can be fully concealed above the window. Due to its minimal construction height, the system can be used in both newbuilds and renovation projects. The same is true of ThermoNB: concealed in the add-on roller shutter casing, Schüco VentoTherm ensures continuous air exchange.
