The venue is located in the ANU School of Music building (100) which is situated at 100 William Herbert Place, Acton (City West).

Getting there

Transport

  • Buses run through Alinga Street.
  • The bus stops in both directions at least every 5 minutes on weekdays and every 10 minutes on weekends.
  • Plan your journey – visitcanberra.com.au/getting-around
  • Walking distance –Approximately5 minutes from the Alinga Street bus stops, on the Red Rapid route (buses in the 200s)

Parking

  • Llewellyn Hall’s car park (on William Herbert Place)is the closest to the venue.
  • There are 3 accessible parking spaces.
  • There are four car parks off Childers Street, each of which has access parking and are within 1minute's walk of the venue.
  • These are all free access after 5pm.
  • Drop off and pick up areas – located directly outside on William Herbert Place with level access from the car park. Taxis and private vehicles for patrons with access or mobility requirements may drop off at this main entrance.

Venue Accessibility

  • Opening time on performance day –7pm or one hour prior to performance time.
  • Level Access to main entrance & foyer – Yes
  • Box Office – On the night of the performance only. Located on level 2. Ticket purchases and collections are all available from the same location. Open one hour prior to the performance.
  • Counter at wheelchair accessible height – Yes.
  • Access Toilets – are available on level 4.
  • Lifts – are located on level 2 entrance and/or ramps for access to each level.
  • Venue wheelchairs – one available on performance nights. See Front of House staff for assistance.
  • Bars and Refreshment areas accessible - Yes.

Inside the Hall

  • Access and Wheelchair seating –is available in the stalls only. Please discuss specific requirements directly with Box Office staff when booking your tickets.
  • Hearing assistance– Hearing loop receivers available for hire at no charge. To access this service you can request in advance or request at the performance. However, you should allow additional time prior to the start of the performance for the collection of the receiver.
  • Assistance animals permitted entry – Yes.

How to Book

All access bookings should be made directly with Ticketek by telephone or in person so they can provide the appropriate information for arrival and access requirements. Please note that free tickets & accessible seating options cannot be booked online.

  • Counter at wheelchair accessible height – varies per individual outlet.
  • Phone – Ticketek special needs hotline 1300 665 915. The Call Centre operates Mon – Sat (9am to 8pm AEST) & Sundays & Public Holidays (9am to 5pm AEST)
