eMerge Team Application

Members of aeMerge team will be teachers who have a desire to learn and a willingness to implement new instructional strategies while using technology in their classrooms. These early adopters of technology should have experience with running a student centered classroom and have a capacity for risk-taking. They should have an open mind to collaborating with colleagues throughout the district. This group will help implement the third component of the district’s strategic plan “Enhancing all educational experiences by integrating new and existing technologies in a meaningful way.” Members of the eMerge team will receive two units of pay to help recognize their commitment.

What are the Expectations for an eMerge Team Member?

●If selected you will need to attend an opening workshop before school starts in the fall. This will be a time to get to know your new team members, learn the tools you will need to be part of the team and participate in the first of many professional learning opportunities designed just for the group. You will receive summer writing pay to compensate you for time at this meeting.
●eMerge members will attend a half-day workshop each semester focused on professional learning.
Part 1: Share Your Story in Words
You are already doing great things in your classroom with technology and we want to hear your story! Please respond to the questions below in order to show us how you have transformed teaching and learning in your classroom already, and how becoming aeMerge member will further enhance your classroom. Please limit your responses to 500 words or less per response.

Part 2: Visually Share Your Story
Now that you have your story written out, create a piece of media that can be evaluated in under two minutes. This could be a video, an iBook, a Thinglink, a comic, an audio-recording or anything else. Be creative! The only requirement is that it tells your story and describes why you want to be part of the eMerge team.
