Why Commissioner GPOL BINGO?

Overview:

Nevada Volunteers would like to decrease its dependency on federal funds by 10% annually. In order to so this, we must grow other funding by approx. $100,000.

We think that the Governor’s Points of Light Awards Ceremony is a key component to achieving this goal and have created a series of ways that, with commission support we might grow the Governor’s Points of Light revenue to $75,000 (Net).

What does this mean for Governor’s Points of Light?

In order to meet this goal we must grow sponsorships, individual recognition programs (including the Nevada Service Stars category which is anew re-vamped “Nevada Points of Light”), table purchases, advertisement participation and the types of items we get donated for silent auction.

What is my role as a Nevada Volunteers Commissioner?

Nevada Volunteers cannot achieve this without every commissioners help. That said, we know that each of you have different connections and comfort levels with asking for support for this event. For that reason, we decided to have a little fun and create Commissioner GPOL Bingo which gives lots of big and little ways each of us can be a part of the success.

The goals, by areas of the” asks” both to commissioners and that commissioners can make to their network are below:

Promote Nevada Service Stars recognition to 5 of your partners who have board members or volunteers. / Contribute a silent auction themed item valued at $250 or more (Gin Tasting, Tequila tasting) or 2 bottles of wine (Value $50 total) / Host a table at GPOL, inviting people who you think should be in the room, but aren’t yet committed to buy a ticket and join you. (Commit to filling a table) / Request 5 of your professional peers to sponsor the Governor’s Points of Light Event / Request every organization that you are a board member of to purchase a table for Governor’s Points of Light
