Prayers of the Faithful

Father:We welcome God’s Spirit among us, comforting, inspiring, consoling and helping us as we pray to God for what we need.

The people heard the good news in their own languages. May we help to make Jesus known throughout our world.Lord, hear us.

We pray that we may be led by the Holy Spirit in our daily lives to make good decisions and to lead a good Christian life. Lord, hear us.

We ask that we may develop the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Gifts of knowledge, understanding, wisdom, right judgment and prayer. Lord, hear us.

We ask for a spirit of forgiveness. May the Holy Spirit of peace reach out to our brothers and sisters. We also ask for peace in our families and our community of Broome. Lord, hear us.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill us with your loving presence. Make us strong and constant followers of Jesus, on fire, like the apostles, with love for his good news. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
