I donated a kidney in September 2005 and it was the greatest experience of my life!I am now trying to help others in desperate need of a kidney including this 48 Year old mother of 3. My brother donated a kidney as well – to someone on my list of people in need of a kidney. Please call me or e-mail me with any questions you may have about kidney donation - I would be happy to answer them, no obligation.
Articles about my kidney donation and work on savings lives of others in need of a kidney have been written in many newspapers/publications, including Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz’s publication. Assemblyman Dov Hikind’s newsletter and in newspapers in New York, New Jersey, Minnesota and Britain. I have spoken at events including a Kidney Disease and Organ Transplantation Seminar that was attended by public officials. I was on “This American Life” on NPR (National Public Radio), twice, and on Assemblyman Dov Hikind’s weekly radio program. I was also on a 1/2 hour ABC-TV Los Angeles special on organ donation, titled ”Giving Life: The Story of Organ Donation.” Another article about me and my kidney donation project, is scheduled to be in an upcoming issue of Prevention Magazine.

M E S S A G E

Dear Rabbi Goldberger,

I donated a kidney almost a year ago and I am trying to find kidney donors for others in desperate need of a life-saving kidney who have contacted me including someone needs a kidney for her father. This person in need of a kidney is from New York, but is registered with the University of Minnesota Medical Center to have his kidney transplant, once he finds a donor.

Would appreciate very much if you can please hang this up in your shul. If you or someone else can possibly hang elsewhere it would very much appreciated.

Thank you so much. Tizku L’mitzvos.

Sincerely,

Chaya Lipschutz
