Grades earned for both types of dual credit courses go onto your high school transcript and an official college transcript, and thus form the beginning of your college Grade Point Average. Academic dual credit courses are all transcribed because you commit to, register and pay for the college credits at the beginning of the term. Technical Competency Credit courses will be transcribed only if you request to add them to the college transcript as you prepare to enter college.

Academic Dual Credit Courses

-  These courses students will register for with LCSC or the UI early in the spring semester.

-  They will cost $65 per credit. Keep in mind current course fees at the UI and LCSC are now well over $300 per credit!

-  Advanced Opportunities funds from the Idaho State Board of Education can be used to pay the $65/credit registration fees for these courses, up to a total of $4,125.

-  For Genesee dual credit courses, Mr. Scripter will have juniors and seniors indicate which academic dual credit courses each student would like to take once second semester starts, then he will get them registered for state funding in the Fast Forward program registration portal.

-  In late January a representative from LCSC will come to our school to walk students through the official LCSC registration process.

-  For the UI, Mr. Barham will help seniors taking English 175 to register with the UI early in spring semester.

Technical Competency Credit Courses

-  Students will register for these courses mid-late in the semester at our school with assistance of LCSC personnel.

-  Technical Dual Credit courses are only $10 per credit.

-  The $10/credit fees will not be due until the student requests to have the credits added to their LCSC transcript as the student prepares to enter college.
